A couple weeks ago we ventured out to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. We've discovered a lot of places (museums, gardens, the zoo, etc) have a free day during the week and so we came out on a Wednesday to the gardens. It was amazing to walk up out the subway and into a lush, green oasis in the middle of the city.
I'm glad New York has places like this— whether its the parks or the gardens, its such a nice balance to the energy and chaos of the city to be in a space that is open and natural.
Are those REAL turtles?

DeleteSo happy to find your blog. I love the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Also, the Cloisters and the Frick Museum are a must. If you need a little family time come and visit us!
